Oshkosh Food Co-op Community Room Use Guidelines

The vision of the Oshkosh Food Co-op includes building community and we are happy to offer the Community Room for use by our community. The OFC Community Room is available to the public, such as non-profit groups, community groups, Co-op members, and businesses when it is not in use by the Co-op. To assure equitable availability to the Community Room, recurring events may only be booked in six month increments. 

The Co-op reserves the right to decline event reservations that run counter to the Co-op's mission, vision or ends. This may include anything that conflicts or competes with the Oshkosh Food Co-op’s business. 

We encourage you to support the Co-op by purchasing food and beverages from the Co-op and all food and beverage served in the Community Room must be purchased from the Co-op. Please ask about available prepared foods options in addition to all of our grocery products. No outside alcohol may be served in the Community Room.

All meetings must end and the Room restored by the Co-op’s closing time, unless extended hours are negotiated in advance with the GM. Additional fees beyond hourly rental rates may apply.

You are expected to set up the room for your event and to return it to the condition it was found at the end of your rental.

The community room is available on a first come, first serve basis.  To schedule an event in the community room, please complete the reservation form online, or print and fill out this form and return it to the Oshkosh Food Co-op General Manager, JD Gildemeister, in person at the store or via email. Please call JD at 920-312-7220 with any questions. A request to reserve the Community Room is not final until it is confirmed by the OFC General Manager.

  • There are 5, 3’ x 6’ foot tables, 3 square tables, and 40 chairs available for use. You are permitted to bring in additional tables and seating in consultation with the GM.
  • The room is approx. 800 square feet and occupancy limits are as follows:
    • Occupancy with tables and chairs: 43
    • Occupancy with just chairs: 93
    • Standing room only: 130 
  • No audio visual is available at this time; wi-fi is available throughout the Co-op.

Rental rates (one hour minimum is required):  

  • Member/Owner Rate: $20 per hour
    (Individuals, Non-profit/Community Groups and Businesses may be Member/Owners.)
  • Non-member/Owner Rate for Individuals or Non-profit/Community Groups: $25 per hour
  • Non-member/Owner Rate for Businesses: $50 per hour 

All fees and deposits are collected at the time of reservation. Community Room fees will not be refunded if cancellation is received less than 48 hours before the event.

All groups must pay a $50.00 deposit, which is fully refundable if the Community Room is returned the condition it was found and all materials, including garbage/recycling and meeting materials are properly disposed of. Breakage or damage to property will be charged to the credit card on file for the rental. Co-op associates are not available to assist with these duties in room set up or clean up.
