    FREE Cooking Class with Jeremiah McDuffie, Our Store Leader

    Learn to make Tuscon Shrimp Pasta

    Ask Store Leader Jeremiah McDuffie about one of his favorite dishes to prepare and he'll tell you about Tuscon Shrimp Pasta, with Jeremiah's own flair of course. In this one-hour class, he'll share his recipe, walk through making it step-by-step, share some of his AMAZING story, and offer tips for making a memorable Pasta dish. And, of course, there will be food to eat at the end of the class!

    This class will be offered in the Co-op Community Room.

    About the Speaker

    Jeremiah McDuffie is the Oshkosh Food Co-op Store Leader. Jeremiah brings a wealth of food service and retail experience to the Co-op, having worked for locally owned companies, franchises and corporate entities. He and his wife, Stacy, and their three children, live in Oshkosh. In his spare time, he loves to cook.

    • growing the Co-op
    • embedding it into the fabric of the community
    • guiding its work to strengthen the local economy, promote health and build community

    Free Cooking Class: Learn how to cook Chicken Katsu

    Chicken Katsu is a classic Japanese home-cooked dish which is typically served with tonkatsu sauce and a side of shredded cabbage salad. These tender and crispy panko-breaded cutlets are surprisingly easy to make, even on a busy weeknight! They also freeze well and make for a delicious meal-prep item.

    About Dr. Stephanie Matulle, AyD, CAS, AHC, RYT

    Dr. Matulle is committed to guiding all towards obtaining optimal mental, physical, emotional & spiritual health. Her healing modalities are principled around the use of ancient Ayurvedic wisdom & all eight limbs of Raja Yoga. She received her doctorate in Ayurveda from the California College of Ayurveda and is a certified, 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with the Himalayan Institute. Dr. Matulle’s approach comes from a place of pure compassion. Her roots are grounded in authenticity and her wisdom stems from her own healing journey.

    Plant the Seed

    Join Us as we Partner with Fusion Footwear for the plant the Seed event!

    The activity will include painting a small terra cotta planter. While your painting Jeremiah McDuffie, the Co-op Store Leader, will share with the group. There will be produce to sample and seed packets to plant in your planter. This will be a FUN event for all ages.

    Laura, the owner of Myco & Meli, will be discussing the history, research, health benefits, and uses of 8 different functional mushrooms. Also, learn how to tell good mushroom products from bad ones, Followed by a sweet tasting of her Mushroom Honeys.

    Eash Person will get a sample jar of Mushroom Honey.

    Laura, the founder and CEO of Myco & Meli: Mushroom Honeys,  is a beekeeper and certified mushroom forager. She is passionate about nature and preventative/holistic healthcare, and she loves to share these passions with others. Though she grew up in Appleton, WI, she has lived all over the world including Australia, Rwanda, South Korea, France, and Hawaii. In 2021, she moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family, and due to their health concerns like dementia and cancer, she was inspired to create a line of mushroom-infused honeys.
